Leonardo is one of my favorite artists. Not only for his work but for his dedication to the pursuit of knowledge.Labels: leonardo da vinci, sketchbook, study |

I like to be very casual when I draw in my sketchbook. I kinda just turn off my brain and let loose.Labels: sketchbook |

This past Sunday marked the first time I attended Bobby Chiu's Subway Sketch Group over in Toronto. It was loads of fun and every one was pretty friendly. I even spoke with Bobby for a bit but I was nervous in doing so, to be honest.
I definitely intend to make this a weekly ritual. Especially since my friends and I are committed to a post-ritual curry from Sushi-on-bloor =9Labels: sketchbook, subway sketches, transit sketches |

Since I don't own an ipod or like to play video games for very long, I carry my sketchbook around for entertainment. I usually sit perched in a discreet corner and sketch away. These were done on Mississauga transit.
As a side note, I think I need a new scanner or need to press down harder when I draw. It's hard for the scan to capture all the little nuances of the original =<Labels: sketchbook, subway sketches, transit sketches |

I'm a big fan of reading, books and the library. Unfortunately, this scene is not that exaggerated when you combine me and the three.Labels: self portrait, sketchbook |

Scarmiglione from Final Fantasy IV! My absolute favorite game of the series. Inspired by Hyadain's take on the archfiend theme: linkLabels: ffiv, final fantasy iv, hyadain, scarmiglione, sketchbook |

A little study of a couple of boxers. I've been doing a few of those in my sketchbook. I always liked the intensity and ferocity of boxers but I've haven't been able to capture those qualities. I'll keep at it till I got it.
I think that's part of the gift and curse of an artist, pursuing that which is intangible, trying to give form to the formless. It's oddly satisfying!Labels: boxers, boxing, sketchbook |
