Creator/Destroyer: The Artist's Manifesto
Artists are not defined by a single role for it may hinder their creative process. They allow themselves to step outside of roles as is necessary of their task.
Artists will tend to the fine details which lay the foundation of the big picture, their work is thorough.
No one has the right to tell an artist anything regarding their work. It is theirs alone to criticize and correct as they see fit.
Their only responsibility to society is to honestly express themselves to the best of their abilities, theirs is an inclination to create and to destroy to meet this end.Labels: art theory, article, creator, destroyer |
