 India Ink on Illustration Board.
I have been missing from this blog for awhile. It is because I have been busy, ironically, drawing. I have been drawing so much these past few days that I have piles of art just sitting here waiting to be scanned. I will get to it in due time.
In the meanwhile, I would like to share this modest little hellboy drawing.
p.s. I have been waging a WAR against contractions, if you see me use one call me out! As soon as we win this war against terrorism I plan to move on to colloquialisms!Labels: artwork, hellboy |

Brown pencil on 9X12 93lb. Heavyweight Drawing Paper.
Sometimes when I sit down to draw in my sketchbook I have no idea what I am going to do or I only have a faint impression of what I would like to do. There are those other times when I know exactly what I want and I don't even need to think about it. It's just reflex. Those are the fun drawings.
This is one of those reflex drawings. Personally I feel that drawing, the act, should just be reflex to the expression anyways so I'm always satisfied when it happens.Labels: hellboy, march, sketchbook |

Brown pencil & terra cotta on 9X12 93lb. Heavyweight Drawing Paper.
Despite what the majority of sketches on the blog might say, I like to work with col erase pencils. I use a warm brown spectrum made up of brown, tuscan red, vermilion & terra cotta because I like the impression they create on the natural white paper I draw on.Labels: hellboy, march, sketchbook |
